About Ginny Martin Fleming

I am a spiritual being having a human experience in the form of a powerful woman who recently turned 65. Motherhood has been my most cherished role, with two daughters, ages 36 and 39; two step-daughters, 42 and 43, and eleven grandchildren ranging from ages 6 to 22. I also write, devour podcasts and audiobooks, practice kundalini yoga and meditation, and explore alternative and holistic health modalities in my search for wellness. I am blessed with an amazing supportive husband who encourages me to speak my truth. During these uncertain times, I believe things are recalinbrating. I know I am. With empathy and transparency, I want to do my part to encourage curiosity, shed light on truth, and promote positiveity in our broken world.

Dear Love July 26, 2025

Dear Love,   What would you have me know today, for having Isabelle alone?   Just love her, shower her with attention and love - no need to hold back so she doesn’t  “get spoiled.” No, that’s how YOUR generation was raised. Bless your heart, you tried so hard,  so hard to do “good,” to be good,

Dear Love, What would you have me know?

Wednesday, March 13, 2024 Holden Beach   Dear Love, What would you have me know? Sweet Girl, I see you whirling and your mind never stopping. It is the beautiful mind I gifted you with at your birth, not a random thing. You are, like every single one of my children, special in your own

Dear Love, What would you have me know?

Breathe, My Child. Inhale deeply my LOVE for YOU! Let it permeate every cell of your  gorgeous human body. Yes, gorgeous. All human bodies are phenomenal. When the  intricacies of how it all works together to keep you alive in body, mind and soul become  evident, you will want to take better care of this

Joining the Conversation

What fun to totally let your mind roll first thing in the morning to a random prompt! Prompt: 10 min. “Joining the Conversation” Joining the conversation is always a bit tricky. You leave to go to the bathroom, weaving your way among the tables, eyes searching for the ladies’ room sign, having chosen a spot

Stand Alone

Prompt: 5 minutes "Stand Alone" Stand Alone Stand alone. On your own two feet. See what you can do without any others to stop you, to help you, to harm you, to interfere, to suggest other ways. What does your heart say? What is your heart saying to you?  Stand alone. You already do stand

“Boundaries Burst”

Time: 10 minutes       Today's Prompt:         " Boundaries burst" Boundaries Burst Boundaries burst every time. What the hell, you might say? I thought I’d learned that lesson and then you realize you’ve done it again — compromised your integrity, your soul, giving in to the pressures to be liked. Boundaries

“Silence”

July 4, 2015 Prompt: 10 minutes: “Silence” Silence  Silence. There really is no such thing. For always there is the breath, the beating heart, the faint sounds of birds chirping or an air conditioner turning on or off, or the boiler crackling with its cozy warmth.   Silence. We fill our days with  noisy life,

Writing Workshop Is Not Group Therapy

Great piece here about separating the writing from the subject matter. The reason I love writing memoir, actually, is the process of rising above the events, situations, even feelings, and employing the craft of writing to try to effectively "universalize" the message and touch the lives of others in a positive way. I keep my

Finding My Wheels

Right before Christmas, I spontaneously answered an appeal from an organization I’ve been a part of since 1991. They’ve changed their name in an effort to reposition the invisible malady we share. The idea was to spread the word about ME/CFS (Myalgic Encephalomyelitis/Chronic Fatigue Syndrome) by asking ten people to donate twelve dollars each to
